The Oklahoma Department of Transportation Support Services Program awarded a contract to Team One Consultants to provide certification and contracting assistance to disadvantaged businesses wishing to do business with ODOT. The Oklahoma Department of Transportation awards appoximately $350,000,000 per year in Federal Highway contracts. A serious effort is being made to reach a goal of approxiamately 8.4% or $29,000,000 to be awarded to qualified minority and women-owned businesses. Further, additional subcontracting opportunities may be available through prime contractors awarded federal and state contracts. To qualify, a company must be a certified Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) by the Oklahoma Department of Transportation.
Team One Consultants is the Special Consultants for Certification and Contracting Assistance with the Oklahoma Department of Transportation. The role of Team One Consultants is to identify firms for Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) Certification.
The role of Team One Consultants is to:
- identify firms for DBE certification;
- assist the firms in completing the certification process;
- prepare company capability profiles; and
- assist qualified DBE firms to market their goods and services to the Oklahoma Department of Transportation and prime contractors performing work on ODOT projects
